Avis Car Rental

They do not perform maintenance checks. I was given a vehicle with a worn tire, bad brakes and alignment issues. I was provided no resolution other than returning the vehicle to the pick-up location after I had already driven hundreds of miles and also called to report the issues right away when I was on the highway OR calling Roadside Assistance to have the unsafe vehicle towed and be left with no car and no assistance with a ride service after having the car towed. I had to purchase a tire just to be able to drive the car and was not offered a reimbursement.

This is the best car rental place ever. The people at the front desk are very helpful and friendly. The cars they have are exceptional. I literally had no problem at all. I recommend that anyone that needs a car should come here and rent a car. Five stars all the way! EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE!!

The Mustang i rented to drive for Uber was top notch. I've never driven anything as nice as this car, and the compliments from the passengers were very satisfying. I'm thinking about buying one!

Imagine forcing someone to provide their own roadside assistance when the 2-year-old car they rented from you less than ten minutes earlier (a ‘23 Malibu with 90k miles) has an expired battery upon parking at a gas station half a mile down the road from the shop, and being condescending about it, asking if they tried pressing the start button. Can’t imagine that? Tom of Avis West Allis could. I walked the key back, called Avis headquarters to get a full refund, and took my business elsewhere. While I was walking back with the key, the manager texted and said “Where is the car located? We can’t have a solution for you if you won’t work with us.” I had given Tom the exact intersection and shop name and he had said it did not matter how close it was.

Horrible service! Vehicle was not inspected for safety! Tire thread came apart on a worn tire. That’s not safe for drivers, at all! Multiple bed bugs inside the vehicle. Management did not take ownership to resolve the issue and no refund was given! Would not recommend this place, at all.
