Avis Car Rental

Absolutely disgusting cars (SMOKE) and service . I have had two rentals in the past couple of weeks and the lack of customer service, basic car maintenance and incompetence is ridiculous. My family member was in town for a funeral and they rented him a car that reeked of smoke. The scent was covered with a chemical scent so it was light but but that night it was strong enough to choke you. With cigar wrappers still on the seats. We took the car back and Tracy the manager seemed to not know why it was such an issue for us, was extremely dismissive as she doesn’t see the cars and initially non-accommodating requiring the car be gassed up even though it was being returned for not meeting their minimum company standard. She also refused the guaranteed upgrade multiple times while the upgrad

I don't recommend renting from Avis. I had a reservation, and when I arrived at the office, it was closed because they had already rented all the cars, including the one I had reserved. I was left not knowing what to do, alone and clueless. I had booked two weeks prior. If you don't want the same thing to happen to you, don't rent here. They don't care if you have a reservation. The worst place to rent cars. Zero stars. Never again Avis.

I will never use Avis again. Poor disclosure on fees. Very expensive. Back to Enterprise for me- much better customer service and better disclosure on fees. My ch more reasonable prices.

A bit pricey but good service. My interactions at Avis are always positive. At this CAE airport location everything was simple and easy to find. All car rental places are just outside the airport separated by a crosswalk. Very convenient.

I will never use this company again, i urge anyone reading this not to. I prepaid and booked a car leaving Charlotte airport. I walked to the desk and presented my reservation. I was told i had to go to the downstairs line since i wasn’t a preferred member. They were the only rental company with a line, and this line took up almost the entire terminal. They also happened to be the only company with a single employee operating the desk. After some time, my wait time estimate was going to be at least 90 minutes. I had a wedding i needed to be in 2 hours away (I gave myself about an hour of wiggle room). So i signed up for Avis preferred. And as the lady had the full details of my car rental already pulled up, she refused to help me get the car even though I was the only one in THAT line wait
