Avis Car Rental

I am an Avis Preferred Member and have rented cars frequently over the last several years...typically receive great service,especially with Josh at the Smith Reynolds Airport location in Winston Salem until this past weekend. I made a pre paid reservation on line, arrived on time for pick up and vehicle was not ready when I arrived. I received a vehicle that not clean, outside and inside. The man pulled up the car offered to clean it AFTER I pointed out that I was obviously not pleased. After further inspection, I noticed the tires were badly worn...so I go back inside to speak to agent at the desk to register my complaint and she says this was the only car available for the reservation I made. I was nervous about driving 5 hours in a Ford Expedition with over 62,000 miles on the odometer

I don’t usually leave reviews BUT this review is warranted . The level of customer service, communication , organization, and flat out willing to serve and help is off the charts and needs to be studied. This location is ran by a GREAT person with an AMAZING staff. By far the best customer service experience I’ve had with ANY rental car company . If you’re reading this review and wondering if you should rent from this location DO IT! You won’t be disappointed 💪🏽

I will never use AVIS again. I reserved a vehicle 3 days out for a New Years Eve trip. I get to the location and they have a note on the door...."We are closed at 2pm". You would think they would have the courtesy or business acumen to give me a call to inform me that I should make it there before 2pm. No....I get to AVIS at 2:08pm to see this note. Very unprofessional. Terrible customer service. I reserved an uber thinking it was one way but ended up being a round trip. I then had to find my way to PTO airport to reserve a car at Hertz.

Always prompt courteous and efficient service from Mary and Josh. I choose to frequent Avis/Budget located at Smith Reynold location because I am seen as a person and treated with RESPECT! Thank you Mary and Josh❤️ Kerry

Very upset as I stand here and wait for my rental car. My reservation was set for 8:00am. Meanwhile no vehicles has been washed or cleaned for use. I am on a time schedule to get to my location. Very unprofessional, especially being to the fact that I have paid online in a week or two in advance. For the staff to mention “We sold out of cars yesterday” seem like the future reservations were not important. It’s also very inconsiderate to customers.
