Looks like they make puppet accounts and give themselves good reviews -- like others said, unprofessional and incoherent not just to others but to themselves as well: shop looked like a mess, I doubt they are real mechanics, they towed my daughter's car she'd just pulled from a family member's house, she'd paid full back reg and scheduled a smog -- I called and they said $$ fee and they close at 5pm. We were there at 1 pm to get docs from car, then to city and back with a release, only now they want $$$ because it is past 2pm and then cited the law: the guy called me a liar that he never said 5 pm, then we got aggressively yelled at by their friend for asking questions who said it's disrespectful to ask questions. Don't ask questions here for your personal safety apparently.

My car got towed illegally by this company when I was parked legally in an apartment complex in the visitor parking for less than 24 hours. Tried to get the car back the same day (friday) it was towed only to get told only the registered owner can pick it up. Lady at the front desk said we can get the car anytime tomorrow (Saturday) and saying they are open 24 hours. Come the next day just to be closed. Called the number on the window and lady over the phone states "we are closed, you were supposed to make an appointment. We will have someone there within an hour". Really horrible customer service and communication with this company. They are just stealing money from people with ridiculously high prices and horrible communication.

Reply: Of course, we are VISITORS by the family and friends of that tenant, who ALOWS park in that spot when it is not in use. I'm not using the spot as public parking, but you're not educated enough to read the CA laws. I parked at 5:15pm, and the call was at 5:35pm, but I see that from this scam, you’re surviving, affecting other people like me, who is a health provider for kids with autism, but I will not hesitate to move forward and place this under investigation. BE CAREFUL with this scam. My car was illegally towed. The building manager has an agreement with this place (maybe for a commission), and they charged for a whole day when my car only stayed there for less than 10 minutes. I called Cesar from Bay Area Autoworks on New Year's Night after an accident with my car on the 92 highway coming from Half Moon Bay. Cesar was quick to respond to my call with details after I provided him my location and he event sent status update with ETA. He got to my location fast which was a godsend because these are very cold winter nights in the bay area and I was in the middle of nowhere. Once he arrived, he quickly hooked up the car and we were on our way to his shop in Redwood City where the car would be stored awaiting next steps from my insurance. He even gave us a ride back home which was really nice. Overall Cesar was very communicative and professional at his job but at the same time personable. I'd highly recommend calling Cesar from Bay Area Autoworks for all your towing

Such a great company! I’ve got nothing but fantastic things to say about them! They’re super reliable, very communicative, compassionate, and very reasonable! They do more than towing and always help me when I’ve had things happen with my car and they take such good care of it!! I highly recommend them!
