Avoid Berthelot’s Automotive — Patriot in Gonzales is Worth the Drive Three weeks. That’s how long my F150 sat waiting around for Berthelot’s Automotive in Plaquemine — two full weeks in their shop after they told me to wait a week just to bring it in. In that entire time, they never once properly looked at my truck. I had to call or stop by multiple times just to get any update, and each time I was told, “I’ll be honest, I haven’t had the chance to look at it or drive it.” That was the answer for two straight weeks. When I finally said I was coming to pick it up, they pulled it out of the shop immediately, clearly with no real intention to ever diagnose or fix it. Very satisfied with a previous repair and this one but communication was lacking this time. On Wed I was told my car would be ready the next day (Thu), but I never got a call so I ended up calling him Fri morning and afternoon before my car was ready around 2pm (my daughter needed to go to an eye doctor in BR unexpectedly, my car had been there since Mon afternoon, and I needed to know if I would get it back before the weekend).

Not from Plaquemine and needed truck repair. Decided to use this shop based off reviews and I'm glad I did. Mr. Tim had my truck fixed in no time and he's very reasonable on price and honest. I will use him as long as I'm in this area. I do recommend that if you need repairs done, give him a call. Thanks for getting me going again. 👍👍

I really enjoy this shop! Family owned, great quality, and great service. Tim has helped me with many issues over the years. Hes even helped me with small minor issues at no cost. Hes an amazing guy to deal with. Dependable, trustworthy, and fast. I won't be going anywhere else.
