My truck sat in the body shop for two months to complete what amounted to 20 hours of work. The only updates I ever received were the ones I chased down myself — and when I called, I was made to feel like I was bothering them. On top of that, I was told one thing over the phone and something different in person. When I raised concerns about the timeline, the body shop pointed the finger at the insurance company for the delays. That may be partly true, but at no point did anyone there apologize for the wait, offer to advocate on my behalf, or suggest any way to move things along. Instead, I ended up acting as the go-between for the shop and the insurer myself — a role I shouldn't have had to play.
