Brookridge Life Plan Community

Went to visit a friend at this lovely retirement home, nestled in the woods near Wake Forest University. It is very serene and spacious grounds. They offer individual homes, condos, as well as assisted living care. The entire staff is very friendly and welcoming and treat everyone with respect. The front lobby of the main building always has a receptionist to assist you. This gated community is a hidden secret and you can catch does and deers as you walk around d the property’s. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to downsize and lived more relaxed.

My father came to Brookridge for rehabilitation in the skilled nursing facility. I can’t speak highly enough about the team at Brookridge. My parents have felt genuinely loved and cared for here. Quite literally every person on the staff that I’ve encountered has gone out of their way to be helpful. They’ve made sure that the furniture is comfortable for my mom, and they’ve allowed us to decorate their room with personal items to make it feel more like home. We’re leaving tomorrow, but the weeks that my family has been here have been made so much easier by the Brookridge team. My family is grateful for such quality of personal care.

My mother had a stay in short term rehab in January of 2024 after unexpectedly breaking her hip. Her stay was decent but around a year after her discharge, she received an accounting statement showing that Brookridge owed her over $5,000. When she reached out to inquire about it they "had to look into it" and then shortly after sent her a check for $54. Unfortunately, my mother passed away from cancer in September of 2025 and in going through her things I found the $54 check (she had told me of the statement but never told me about the check). I have reached out to the director and assistant director via email requesting a detailed accounting, but have not received any response (they have had over a month to respond). It is very suspicious and concerning.

One month has passed since I moved into a lovely apartment @ Brookridge. The friendliness, helpfulness & kindness of ALL of the staff & residents is amazing. There are so very many activities. There is something for everyone. And, the food is really good. I so look forward to many years of enjoying this wonderful community. I highly recommend consideration of the Brookridge for your retirement community.

I have lived at Brookridge over 14 years. My husband, brother, and sister-in-law lived here until their deaths. My friends here and staff are like family. It is a beautiful community and I feel safe. A great benefit is knowing I have a guaranteed place to live even if my finances are depleted.
