Budget Car Rental

HORRIBLE. AVOID. This is THE WORST Avis / Budget location in the US I've ever used, and I travel frequently. I've been here six times now, and only once did they have a car available when I arrived. Yesterday, we arrived to find no cars, even with a prepaid reservation. We had to take an Uber XL and come back today. And now I've been here an hour waiting for a car. They cannot tell us when a car will become available. Staff is pretty rude. I will NEVER return to this facility. Try Enterprise or better yet fly into New Orleans and drive to Baton Rouge. It will literally be less time than waiting to get a car a this circus.

Absolute trash company and branch. There’s not even a rep in their station. I had a 4pm reservation and got my car still at 7:45! Clerk wasn’t honoring reservations, just handing out cars first come first serve. There are 0 outlets in the waiting area. Gotta be one of the worst run companies I’ve done business with. Didn’t think it was possible to be worse than Avis but I think they’ve been beat by Budget. Tried calling customer service but was just on hold for 35 minutes. Once I got my car there was a bunch of fluid in the consul and the tire light was on as well as the oil change warning.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Waited 2hr 30min with 2 kids for a rental car at Budget car rental in Baton Rouge Airport. Theres no one at the counter or a sign directing you where to go for service. The Avis Receptionist was uninformed of available cars and could not share how long the potential customer wait would be to receive and clean cars for rental. When a car became available, the representative offerred me a dirty car and had an attitude when I refused to accept a dirty car and told me to wait for an indefinite timeframe. She also said there was no manager on duty because it was during shift change. I was told to call on Monday to submit a complaint to the manager. Update: 2/28 Im back in town and once again rented a car from Budget hoping for a better experience… it was somewhat better but I left just as upset as I was 4months ago. This time I reserved an Elite SUV, Jeep Cherokee or similar was listed. When we arrived I was told they only had a mini van. I figured if thats all you have then so be it. When we got to the third floor I immediately noticed a new Jeep Cherokee in the after hours return. Disappointed but content I walked on to my minivan. Before I could put my luggage in the van the lights on the jeep lit up!! They had rented the car I reserved to a woman who showed up after me. Happy customer. Rented a car with Budget at BTR for nine weeks across March and April. Bit of a wait (under an hour). Only one rep at the Avis desk at 7am (one more than at the Budget desk). She was clearly doing the best she could with limited inventory. Was initially offered a Ram pick-up but declined as I didn’t want a gas guzzler for a long trip. The car I got was great, clean inside and out. I booked a full-size sedan and was given a Hyundai Tucson (standard SUV). Paid at the counter using a debit card, and all they required was proof of my return flight. A month in I was charged for their unlimited Toll package which I hadn’t agreed to. I called the main office, explained the situation, and the charges were refunded. Not ideal of course, but it was easily cleared up thanks
