Budget Car Rental

Great service for pick up in Knightdale, NC. I would like to recommend a little run through on the car controls before leaving. Dropping off at Daytona Airport could have been better due to the parking area not easy to navigate and wasn't sure where to leave the car. The lady at the counter was very nice.

The only reason I gave it one star is because zero is not an option. This budget location is trying to scam me out of $250 for “cleaning” fees. There was a little bit of sand in the trunk from transporting beach gear. Every rental car I have ever rented/turned in gets cleaned as part of the turnover service. Be very careful with this location.

Was never more disappointed in a location for Budget in the Jacksonville airport is terrible. Reservation made weeks prior meant nothing and all they had was an older pickup that was filthy. I’m talking I spent money and took it to a car wash and spent half hour cleaning windows just to see. Drive was dastardly. The Daytona location next day saved our holiday with an exchange. Don’t trust the reservation at Budget Car Rental is what I came up with.

Customer Service was Amazing! Cars were a lot of fun. Pick up was easy and drop off was even easier. Plane was delayed and I was stranded until the next day. Budget worked with me to keep my cost down for an additional day. Throughout the whole experience, No games. No wasting of my time. What could have been hassles, Weren’t! WILL use them again!!

Second rental at DAB Budget wasn't great. My 2023 Ioniq 5 left me sitting at Kennedy Space Center, unable to start, with a dead 12-volt battery on day one of a three day rental. Roadside assistance was 1.5 hours away despite being near Orlando, a major city. A good Samaritan jump started the car before roadside assistance arrived. Upon returning the car, I informed the Budget desk of the problem and received a negligible response, just a nod, with no thanks, apology or offer to compensate for lost time on our holiday. During my first rental, with FastBreak, my arrival was a simple two minute check-in and, similarly, upon return I breezed through and was off to my gate. The airport is small and that makes navigating in and out quite simple when compared to larger airports like MCO.
