Budget Car Rental

My husband and I just had a terrible experience at this location. After we filled out documents they scanned my driver's license on their 365id machine. I have IMMACULATE driving record but it still rang red. When I asked how could that be person on counter called the manager with his only explanation being they have right to refusal. I looked up reasons a driving license can mark red on these machines with great driving record. And it said user error can be user error (pulling ID out too fast), condition of driver's license (my license is new/no damages) nothing that states something could prohibit me from renting a ca. I have never had issues renting or purchasing a vehicle. I find this situation absolutely ridiculous. The place is also dilapidated and smells funny. I don't recommend an

Today Friday October 17th 2025 at 8:05am my husband and i unfortunately had an unsatisfactory rental process with agent # 08018 and also an unidentified location manager. Agent 08018 was very unprofessional, non attentive, bad attitude and uninformative during the entire rental process. My husband and I rented vehicles from this edison nj location over the past few years. The only reason we do business here is because It's convenient. By far it is not a 5 star location which means it needs much customer service improvement. So as of today we will no longer do business here due to the scam tactics, transactions and poor customer service. Agent #08018 called edison police department because we were addressing the issue regarding a credit card that was charged but not presented in person

This location is awesome. Very professional team and excellent clean cars. The staff communicates well and are very friendly. I was in and out with my rental quickly and drop off was a breeze. Definitely recommend this place for great price and excellent service.

So I just rented from there today I went in there because when I looked online that was the best pricing, it did not tell me what kind of car I was going to get. I am not really a fan of the electric cars so the one that they gave me was a Tesla, which is hard to drive, and now I have to find a place to charge it. Not only is the place dirty. The people are short and no accountability. I asked them to clean the car because it was filthy and it is a rental and I do not want to take it through a car wash to be responsible for any scratches. I asked him several times if they can wash the car they ignore G and did not wash the car. The car is filthy and now I have a car for the weekend that I needed that is dirty and that I am paying for I called the office and the owner did not care.
