Budget Car Rental

I use the site constantly when going through Priceline.com customer service is good. The place is small not much seats. Majority of the time it's one person working. You have to have patience with that person. that person has to check people in and out, go get the vehicle, at time walk across two parking lots to pick up the vehicle to bring it to the customer who is waiting. There's no restroom for customers.

We made a reservation with Budget Rental Car in advance, expecting a smooth pickup. When we arrived at the location, they told us they didn't have any cars available. No call, no warning—just a shrug and "sorry, nothing we can do." This was incredibly frustrating and completely unprofessional. What’s the point of making a reservation if they won’t honor it? We were left scrambling to find alternative transportation at the last minute. They clearly don’t value their customers' time or trust. Avoid this company if you actually want a reliable rental experience.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this company and feel compelled to warn others. I had a confirmed reservation, made in advance, and showed up on time with all the necessary documentation. However, upon arrival, the staff pretended they had no record of my booking. Instead of trying to help or even apologize, they were dismissive and disrespectful in their tone and attitude. It quickly became clear that they had chosen to give the vehicle to someone else—likely a higher bidder—completely ignoring my reservation. This is not only unprofessional but also unethical. Maggie and Edgar were flawless on a busy Saturday with our rental considering the amount of stress and unnecessary pressure put on them by fellow renters who could have done better to understand the capabilities of two rental a car reps trying to do their best on the job. This spot still beats out many others located on route 1 in FBX especially enterprise which is never an easy place to deal with. That said I have also rented from this office to drive back home to Cali a couple of times and have had nothing but a great experience each time. After a week in the outer banks recently and getting rear ended with minimal damage the team was yet again on their game with making the return and claim process an easy one. Would highly recommend renting elsewhere. They will find a way to charge a $450 fee. They state that no pets are allowed in the vehicle, so I did not have my pets even touch the outside of the car (including a serving animal, because I was trying to be as respectful as possible, even though it's illegal to discriminate against service animals and I should have been able to being him). However, due to owning pets, there was some hair on jackets that were worn in the car. Upon return, we were accused of having animals in the car because there was hair spotted due to transfer. They have no way of proving if there were animals in the car, but we're quick to try to charge for a cleaning fee with nothing to go off of except for seeing some hair.
