Budget Car Rental

We made a reservation and on the day we were supposed to pick it up we were told there was nothing available. How is this possible? The lady working the desk said that no one has turned in the rentals and that's why nothing's available. We had reservations for a Toyota RAV4 or similar. We were offered a Toyota Corolla. What's the point of a reservation if your just giving me what's left on the lot? Just our luck. A gentleman came in to drop a vehicle off and it was a Chevy Blazer. He even stated that it drop great. Great news! We took the vehicle and waited for them to clean it up and get it ready for us. When I started the SUV there was a warning light on the dash (see picture). The rental I got here was almost bad enough to make me spend extra money to go with a different rental company when I travel. The only work done to the car when I picked it up was a half-hearted vacuum job. My wife and I spent at least 20 minutes wiping down the inside of this vehicle before driving it. We also had to put air in 3 of the 4 tires. Exterior was also untouched with a crack in the windshield. Terrible experience and I’ll never rent from here again and hope no one else does either.

The entire company is a scam. They make you pay for a reservation fee and THEN when you get there they run the credit report, just to tell you to “refer to equifax”. Ok well, if I don’t pass the credit check then why doesn’t Budget automatically cancel the reservation?? Do they think equifax is going to magically approve me to rent a car? My credit won’t be magically better in 10 minutes. THEY SHOULD AUTOMATICALLY CANCEL YOUR RESERVATION IF YOU DON’T PASS THE CREDIT CHECK. Actually what they should do is RUN YOUR CREDIT BEFORE YOU PAY TO RESERE THE CAR ONLINE!!! When my credit check wasn’t approved, I asked the lady at the counter how to get the money back and she handed me some packet that doesn’t look like anything to do with what I need. Easy rental car pickup and when I noticed previous damage to it, the helpful woman behind the counter swapped me into another car & I was on my way. First time driving a hybrid car. I was very happy with the experience and the fuel mileage for my 900 mile trip was 55MPG.

They came through for our family in a pinch, but never again. I prepaid for the rental online with fuel service. When I went to pick up the rental, my dad had to put the rental in his name so we could make it to our out of state family reunion. To beat it all the fuel service I prepaid for isn't available at this location, so now I have to fight with customer service to have my $44.32 refunded. As if that wasn't enough, when I dropped the car back off today - on time, I get a receipt saying we will be charged an additional $49.12 for "services not covered". I'm quite sure I have no idea what this means. Anyway, aside from all that, our rental was a Hybrid with 0% charge and no windshield washer fluid. Washer fluid was $4.99 and the vehicle held a whole gallon. Like I said, I'm gratefu
