Budget Car Rental

I’ve really never experienced any issues that would cause me to stop giving Budget my business. However, this last trip I booked my car weeks before my trip for a pretty good price. Upon arrival, I was told my debit card couldn’t be used for understandable reasons. Thankfully I had a friend to save the day and pay for my car. I literally transferred her money while I was standing in the shop with the gentleman who was checking me in. I asked specifically to confirm the price I was paying and he verbally confirmed. When I got my paperwork though, I’d been charged $70 more. Upon returning the car I was told that because my friend’s license was used, they charged me for another driver. While I understand the policy and am not upset by the policy, it would have been nice to know the day

Just be prepared to be frustrated. Lot is small. Someone almost backed into our personal car. The young lady behind the counter thought it wasn’t a big deal that I was going to overpaying five dollars for the rental car they were giving me; not the one I reserved. The one I reserved was not available- Great customer service - Outstanding … NOT😎 I gave 2 stars to be fair I did get out of there within 15 minutes which is good for picking up a rental. 😁

I have been a loyal Budget customer for over 25 years, but my recent experience at the Lakeland location on Memorial was the worst I’ve ever had. When I arrived, the car I was given was in terrible condition—the gas door was missing, the key was broken, and the vehicle was not cleaned properly. There were still wrappers left behind from the previous renter. I rented this car to drive to Jacksonville, but halfway there, the low oil light came on and stayed on, making me question whether I would even make it back safely. The entire experience made me wonder if this was actually a Budget rental or someone’s personal vehicle. The only positive aspect of my experience was the staff, who were excellent. The services were like no other, big shout out to Kia, her patience was great. Never lost her cool, I thought I was prepared and she waited for me💐💐💐. That is just one of the great services I received. Once all was in place, in and out. Their selection is great, prices are great. Their upgrade price like no other. I reserved an economy and they upgraded me to. See pics. Now, this is the Lakeland, Florida location on Memorial Blvd. Now if service is this way at all Budgets. You have found a diamond in the rough.

I appreciate this budget rental. Clean nice cars!!! Good customer service.. easy and affordable I know sound like a robot.. but I’m real.. and really mean it! Until I got ripped off not by this place.. but the company budget itself!! Ripped me off 600$
