Budget Car Rental

It is my opinion that this Budget/Avis location is poorly staffed by their current employees (July 2026).  My recent experience is that erroneous charges were added to my final bill without explanation.  I had over $200 in extra charges from this location. The Budget agent there, Brandon, told me there was nothing he could do. I would need to call customer service. As I said, in my opinion, customer relations' training is desperately needed here.  On top of that, this location is only a small kiosk in the back of a big shopping mall.  The mall is in a sketchy neighborhood, and the Budget Car kiosk inside the mall is a long, dark walk through the back parking lot. I will go elsewhere in the future.

Hands down the WORST RENTAL EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD. Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ I recently had an awful experience with Budget Rent a Car at the Clearview Mall location. First off, the hidden fees are outrageous! I was quoted one price over the phone, but when I got there, they tacked on an additional $200-$300 in charges that I wasn’t informed about. Secondly, the staff at this location were incredibly rude and harassing. They belittled me and made the entire process stressful and unpleasant. To make matters worse, we ended up paying over $1,400 for a month-long rental, and then when we tried to extend it by two weeks, they added even more unexpected fees. When I called Budget’s 1-800 number, they blamed the location, and the location blamed Budget. It felt like a never-ending cycle of excuses. T

Brandon Nash was very helpful! I had trouble with H*rtz and H*twire but he was so kind and knowledgeable. Would come back here again!

I did an online budget reservation (not a 3rd party app or agent), and Prepaid. However, the office location tells me they have no vehicles and can’t even view the reservation. When I called to get my money back, I’m told the system is down. Call back every 30 minutes they tell me. It should be an automatic refund if they don’t have any vehicles available period. Horrible. Not to mention it’s impossible to find. You need to go to parking garage on the 2nd floor . There’s an unmarked entrance, That’s the Movie Theatre. Then go downstairs.

If it wasn’t for SYLVIA, I would not be leaving this positive review. Up until I went to this budget location, I’ve had a nightmare of an experience. But as I arrived to the Metairie location, I was met with some personable and valuable feedback for a better customer experience from her. Ty much Sylvia for everything.
