Budget Car Rental

What a pitiful excuse of a business. I go into the shack that is the rental car kiosk, and there’s only one man working there. He was rude obviously. Which is exactly what I wanted after having to endure the psychological torture that is simply going on your website to book a rental car, the whole point of your business. I left that rental car place after extreme hardship (caused by Budget unnecessarily) trying to get this car, WITHOUT A CAR! 15 million things went wrong and all on their end. And then I got upset and the worker had the audacity to say this is a respectable place of business you need to calm down. Is that a joke? You gotta be really dumb to believe that. I think all these bad reviews are talking about the same employee. He is awful! Fire him!

I've never felt compelled to write such a harsh review, but my experience with Budget, specifically the independent operator Barry, was absolutely appalling. He is the rudest, nastiest person I have ever dealt with. The moment I tried to ask a simple question to ensure the vehicle had what it was supposed to, he snapped at me, cutting me off and dismissing any concerns. He repeatedly lied to us about the vehicle's condition, claiming it had "just been combed through and detailed," with an oil change, tires filled, and all fluids maintained. Nothing could have been further from the truth. There was no wiper fluid, which we discovered in a dangerously inconvenient situation mid-trip. I had to fill the tires myself, and the A/C buttons didn't work at all. AND THE OIL WAS LOW. On top of that,

actually this review is not about budget car rental, because I would only give them one or two stars. Five stars belongs to the 2100 Davis Blvd., Naples Florida location. I rent cars several times a year when I land at Fort Myers airport, and the Budget at the airport is always making mistakes, the kind that sometimes can cost you money. I usually return the car to the 2100 Davis location in Naples, and Barry always gets things fixed. He obviously understands what customer service is and gives it 150%. Actually the entire crew at that location follows his lead and is excellent.

We rented a car from this location at least 20 times over the last 2 years. We are local, full time, and born here. More-so for convenience on location vs. anything els. Sometimes the cars we got were dirty or not what we booked but we are very very easy going people. But this is easily how you take your clientele and just hand them to a different business on a silver platter. 2 weeks ago we booked a car while my car was in the shop for a recall. We needed to drive up to Ft Myers’s for my nieces end of cancer bell ringing & were on A time crunch. We got the car from Davis blvd and by the time we were at Airport road and pineridge we had a flat tire. We pulled over and put the spare on the car. Returned the car the next morning. The owner, Barry Levin, took great care of us today. He was professional, kind, accommodating and extremely efficient. I could not be happier with our SUV rental experience! Thank you Barry and thank you Budget.
