Budget Car Rental

Had a great experience with our car rental that we received from Tracey at Doubletree Disney Springs. They didn't have a car in the category we booked but when we returned a couple of hours later, Tracey had an excellent, nearly new car for our mini trip while on vacation. We didn't return it to that branch of Budget, we returned it to Holiday Inn near Universal. Unfortunately the agent at that branch was not as friendly. If getting a car again in Orlando we will be collecting it and returning it from the Doubletree hotel at Disney Springs.

I am absolutely furious with my experience at Budget Car Rental. What should have been a simple, straightforward rental turned into a shady and dishonest mess. Without asking for my consent, the agent added a bunch of extra charges to my rental agreement. He didn’t explain them. He didn’t offer them. He just added them and *told* me they were included. If I hadn’t taken the time to carefully review my statement, I would have been charged nearly **$300 extra** for services I never requested and never agreed to. That is completely unacceptable. Customers should not have to scrutinize every line item just to make sure they’re not being taken advantage of. Transparency should be the bare minimum. I had a great experience here and the guy working there was professional. I got a great rate for a one way trip to Panama City in a Pacifica which helped my move tremendously. The only thing that was strange is that they don’t really look at the car with you and don’t tell you anything about it so you kinda have to figure that out on your own. Some cars take 87 some take premium 93 octane gas…. Stuff like that should be mentioned. All in all it was pretty good experience.

Rented a car on June 7th and it appears it had not been cleaned. There was icing all over the back seat with greasy handprints. We would have went back to Budget when we noticed it but we were on a tight schedule. We hit some rain and put the windshield wipers on and it was missing one whole wiper - dangerous situation. Maybe it was an off day - I don’t know. Just make sure to check the details. Go through everything before leaving the lot.

My sister left an expensive item in the car when we returned the vehicle and when I called to retrieve it, I was told nobody found it when they cleaned the vehicle. THIEVES! It was definitely left in The vehicle. My sister left it thinking it was a toolbox that was supposed to be left in the vehicle.
