Budget Car Rental

Save your money and TIME. Rent with different co. 2-3+ hr wait to pick up vehicle. One person working “regular line” and one person working “fast break” line. How is this efficient???!!!

rented a car overnight, I was given a previously damaged vehicle without being told. picked up the car at night in a dark parking lot with no attendant. The next day I saw that the rear bumper cover had some damage and it had been marked with a white X. I pointed this out to the return attendant and was told I was supposed to have been given a prior damage sheet when I picked it up. Now I have been notified that I am being held responsible. BEWARE

Earned one star for quick service and for providing a decent vehicle as requested. Lost 4 stars for charging me for fuel after I turned in the vehicle with way more gas than it had when I left the rental facility (see photos). Also received a charge for a roadside option when I never asked for that or even discussed it with the counter attendant. These two unauthorized charges amounted to $100.57. After spending several minutes on the phone with the company's customer service, they refunded the unauthorized charges (the customer service rep was helpful). Luckily I'm one to closely monitor my charges. For someone who doesn't, these bad charges could have gone unnoticed. It will be difficult to do any business with this company after this experience.

UPDATE: To their credit, they did reach out and apologize, and apply a small refund to my account. Updating from 2 stars to 4 stars for customer service. ------ An hour plus wait in a small airport is ridiculous. Understaffed is an understatement. If you've rented that many cars, make sure you're staffed and people are not waiting for hours...

They fraudulently added extra coverage without my knowledge. Seeing from the reviews, it seems to be a consistent scam that they have been running for quite a while. It’s shocking that corporate has not intervened. I noticed and called after I picked up the car, but they were closed so I called the next morning. They assured me it would be removed, but it was not. I also noticed that my car wasn’t quite full, but marked as full. I think that the pace they work at is all part of the scam. The line was not abnormally long, but the time in between customers was. The staff noticeably was going extra slow in between people, so by the time you finally get up there, you just sign and leave.
