Budget Car Rental

Worst car rental experience ever with this location and company. I had a reservation to pick up a vehicle at 11:30 AM and was on my way to pick up the vehicle when this location called me to inform me that they did not in fact have any vehicle for me. They said at the earliest it would be 1 PM for the next return and then it might not be the right size. Or they said I could call their reservations line and have changed to their airport location because they had more inventory. When I asked if the agent could make this call he refused and said we had to do it. I decided to initially wait, but was worried because we rented this vehicle for a one way trip to Washington DC to catch an international flight. I regret I went with Budget because this company operates very shady. Please inspect your paperwork quadruple times before leaving because they will lie about the gas level and damage to the car. I had the car inspected when I picked it up. I brought it back the next day, let the attendant inspect the car, gas level and toke the keys. He told me Everything was good with no extra fees. Instead of giving me a receipt in the office, he told me it would be emailed to me. Then when the charges processed I was charged an extra $18 for gas. I will never rent with them again, very dishonest company. I recommend enterprise instead

Doesn’t matter if you make a reservation honestly cause when you go to pick up your car there will always be some kind of issue. Don’t recommend.

I made a reservation for a 2 days trip and to make sure the car would be available, I prepaid for it. However, when I went to pick the car up, there was a guy there (in front of me) trying to get a car for a week, but there was no car available for the size he was requesting, except the car that was reserved for me (that is what I heard BUDGET employee telling him). Anyway, when my turn came, BUDGET employee was VERY RUDE and refused to rent me the car and said that is because I had an VA interim driver license, although I had my void MD driver license card with me (which the DMV voided when I transferred my MD driver license to VA and gave me VA interim driver license. I booked an economy car on the Budget website, but four hours after my reservation, a guy from the local office called me to say they didn’t have any economy cars available. They told me I’d have to upgrade for an extra charge. The person I spoke to was not polite. I called Budget directly to confirm, and they said there were economy cars available. The next morning, I arrived at the office in freezing 20-degree weather, but they opened 15 minutes after my scheduled reservation time.
