Budget Car Rental

HORRIBLE! I have literally never had such an issue. Now I know why I always use enterprise! First off, they NEVER answer the phone when you call. You always have to talk to cooperate which takes an hour to get ahold of someone. I picked up a vehicle and they handed me the key to go get the car across the street in the parking garage. When I got over there, I had to just hit the panic button to find the vehicle. Then when I got into it, it had a sticker stating it was cleaned and disinfected. It was not. It smelled so bad like cigarettes and was filthy. There were chips on the floor in the back seat, coffee stains in the cup holder and weird white speckled all over the car. When I went back to the office, it was closed. Called coorprate and the only thing I could do was bring it somewhere

Such a bad experience!!! I made a reservation months in advance for separate days. They didn’t have a car us for both bookings!! They gave us a courtesy call on the first one just the day before that they won’t have a car of us. I reconfirmed my next booking and was told that there’s a good chance that they will have one for us that day. No call from them the day before & when we showed up to pick it up, they don’t have a car for us again. I even got an email from Budget reminding us of our reservation. We were traveling out of state so we had to scramble and find a way to get to our destination. I just don’t understand why even with a reservation, no car was available. Not once but twice!!!

Looking for a rental service that provides free pets with your rental car?! Look no further! I was provided with a mouse that was destroying the dashboard to the point that when I turned the air on we were blasted in the face with the foam from the internal dash board. Don’t forget the blessing the mouse had! Babies in the back seat and in my sweat shirt! Yay! Oh, and can’t forget the little gifts I was left-yup, gorgeous mouse droppings! I was hoping to catch something zoonotic :) Called customer service. Was told this was unacceptable (no way!). Returned vehicle and needed a new one as my own car was totaled. I told them I wanted an upgraded vehicle for my troubles.. I was so sad I had to return my mouse friend (ha) Need someone to hear you out and help with this situation? Don’t you wor

Had a great experience at the Budget in Waltham, MA, on the morning of December 2, 2024. We rented a car in Montreal to drive back to Boston and ended up with a Jeep—not what we expected, and the gas mileage was rough. When we dropped it off in Waltham, the woman working there (wish I got her name!) was awesome. She explained that since it was an international rental, we’d have to call the 800 number for most issues, but she still went out of her way to see if she could help. She managed to get us a discount to make up for the crazy gas costs, which we really appreciated. She didn’t promise anything but totally delivered and was so kind and understanding the whole time. A small gesture like that made a big difference. Thanks for the great service!

Terrible customer service, avoid this particular location at all costs. Unclear instructions, limited staffing. Just read all the reviews before renting.
