Budget Car Rental

I reserved a 15 passenger van and they gave me a 12 passenger and closed before I realized it was missing 3 seats. Now I don't have enough space for everyone and have to drive a seperate vehicle. Fast forward. Budget contacted me very promptly with an apology and a peace offering. Though not what I would have wanted, it was acceptable. Rick at the actual store was great throughout the whole process. Overall, post trip, I am satisfied.

This place has filthy cars with used tissues and dog hair not cleaned from prior customers. They will also reserve cars and trucks that they do not have to rent, in my case two reservations weeks in advance whats the purpose to reserve if you have nothing and i mean nothing. very rude and unprofessional staff at the both that looks half done inside. There are other locations with far better staff and acutely have vehicles to rent when you need it.

Really bad service. Didn’t let us know when we would receive our car earlier and wasted our time. Completely ruined our trip. I’d give 0 stars if I could. The guy who worked there, Rick, was very VERY unhelpful.

Car was GREAT! No issues at all. The ONLY reason I gave 3 stars is that we had to wait 2 hours to get our car and they didn't have enough workers for as busy of a location this was. It was a good experience overall, and workers were pleasant (I would have been CRAZY with being that non stop busy all day, so Kudos to them! 🤣) and helped everyone pleasantly, even though many seemed upset that they had to wait. Maybe Budget should hire more staff...or at least PAY these people more for the work they do. 🤷

Sent me a text an hour before I was to pick up my reserved rental telling me that there were no cars available. Had to scramble and find a rental somewhere else quick. Reserved with Hertz and although they did not have a vehicle available, they did have one available at another location. The young lady asked if I wanted a Lyft to the other location on them of course and that's exactly what I did. Hertz did all they could for me. Budget was just like sorry there's nothing we can do. Never again will I go with Budget. Shout out to the Hertz staff in Dearborn for taking care of me and the Hetz Woodhaven staff!
