I’ve been a loyal CarX customer for almost 10 years, first in Chicago and now in Skokie, which makes this experience especially disappointing. When it came time to pay my $130 bill, I realized my debit card had fallen from my pocket (probably while I was cleaning my car from the snow). So I asked Mike if my daughter could pay by phone. His response was, “I don’t take excuses,” which was rude and dismissive. He was grouchy from the start. I understand the weather has been terrible, but that’s not an excuse to treat customers poorly. He insisted that only a physical card could be used. After I asked about other options, he reluctantly said the system could be “forced” to accept phone payment — and it worked immediately. I came to this facility about an hour before closing, and they were incredibly quick to help me and made the whole process fast and easy. I was really stressed about my flat tire, but the staff immediately reassured me and made me feel much better—with a smile, too. Even though there were two people ahead of me, I was in and out in one hour. They were kind, efficient, and even called my warranty company to make sure everything was processed correctly. Great experience overall! Update: I came a week later and they did a great job once again! Will always come here for my car needs!

What I appreciated most was the transparency. Mike actually put my car up on the lift and walked me through exactly what needed to be done, which really gave me peace of mind. ​I even asked about replacing my back shocks and drums, but Mike was honest and told me I was good for now rather than trying to upsell me. They are all friendly and knowledgable. Mike is the best manager. He is honest and reasonable. Our Mercedes had a subframe issue. I was ready to pay whatever it takes to fix it. He checked it and advised me to take the car to the Mercedes dealership. He said there was a recall on that issue. Mercedes fixed it at no cost!
