Gonna be my go to mechanic for as long as I'm in Jax. My transmission is smoother then when I bought my jeep with 50 miles on it. At 180,000 now and drives like a dream. Gary is down to earth and shot me straight.

I had just recently moved up to Jacksonville for work and didn’t know what shop to take my car too! I found Cargo transmission on google and saw how they’ve been in business longer than 30+ years and with great reviews, I decided to call them. John greeted me with a warm welcome and listen to problems I was having with my car and got straight to work, they had my transmission replaced in less than a week, and I couldn’t have been happier, unfortunately a few days later the dreaded check engine light popped up again. I gave John a ring and he told me to bring it in, no questions asked. A few days later I have my car back and it’s better than the day I bought it. John, Greg and their team of mechanics are amazing and I wouldn’t have had it done by anyone else! Thank you very much🙏

Five Stars! I can’t say enough great things about Cargo Transmissions and the owner, Gary! A good friend referred me to him, and I’m so glad they did. My transmission and radiator needed serious repairs, and Gary not only fixed them perfectly but also gave me a great price. Gary is incredibly honest and straightforward—qualities that can be hard to find. I was in a tough spot, and he went above and beyond to help me out. His friendliness and professionalism made the whole experience stress-free. The work was top-notch, and my Caddy runs like a dream now. I couldn’t be more grateful for his help. If you need someone you can trust, Gary is your guy. Highly recommend!

Horrible experience. I called and stated I thought I needed a transmission flush. Was told they don't do that, they only flush toilets and that they service transmissions. So I told them what was happening and was automatically suggested that a hydraulic pump needed replaced (which is can be a few thousand $$) without actually seeing the vehicle. I felt insulted and like they were automatically going to charge me for the expensive part even if it was only going to require a full fluid FLUSH. Did not trust going to this business after that. Do not recommend.

Had a flashing D light on my 2003 Honda Element which indicates something wrong with the transmission. The guys here are awesome and were able to fix a broken switch and get the car running normally again. Fair price and very quick turnaround, will absolutely be coming here again in the future if I ever have any more issues.
