Honestly if you find a clean car with good Carfax and do your research + get the warranty it can definitely be worth it. That being said don't expect anyone here to hustle for you like a traditional dealership. Have the car cleaned before purchase? Nah Request updates and periodic check ins? Nope have fun playing a game of telephone with their call center and the store. Car got delivered and I asked to get an update for almost a week. Was eventually told they put 87 octane into the car that required minimum of 91 octane.... So the car produced an engine light and was sent for inspection. Was told they were driving the car until "low on fuel" then topping up with octane booster and 91 octane. Yeah..... No big deal mistakes happen but once I arrived to sign papers and pay for the vehicle

I had such a great experience at this dealership. They shipped a vehicle from Mass to Maine for me (no charge) I loved the vehicle! Customer service was extremely helpful and their app is so easy to maneuver around!

I just went in to sell my car and my experience was great. This is my 2nd time trying to sell to CarMax- last time there was a nationwide system outage (not their fault) and they were extremely nice about it! Even filled my gas tank and promised to honor my offer. When I went in today to sell, it was fast, easy and my valuation went up! I loved how I didn’t feel pressured to accept the offer or to buy a new car. My mission was to go in and sell and I did. Everyone I talked to was extremely friendly and helpful and they even offered me a Lyft home.

Awesome experience, had this vehicle shipped from Maryland to Maine, Testdrove, then purchased this vehicle, very easy and awesome experience, Got exact vehicle I wanted and am since very happy with everything

Truck had a dent in the top of it that wasn't disclosed on the vehicle before I had it shipped, but thankfully it wasn't something i could easily pull out. There was also a chip in the windshield that should have been replaced before selling the vehicle, i don't know how it somehow passed state inspection with this chip. Process took about 4 1/2 hours which was a little long, newer hire, didn't bring the title for trade in and a busy day. Outside of that, it was a quick and mostly painless process. I would never pay to have Carmax ship a vehicle again, but I would consider using them if the vehicle was already local. No benefits or gains outside of going through a local car dealer.
