I just bought a car on my own for the first time and had a great experience with CarMax. Rob and Robert both helped me through the process and made everything really easy. They were both so friendly, helpful, and transparent the whole time, which I really appreciated since this was my first time doing it by myself. My experience with CarMax Sterling has been extremely frustrating. I bought a Range Rover from them in May, and within a month, serious issues started. I took it back under their 90-day warranty, but the car was stuck in the shop all summer with no clear updates. Communication was terrible—no one knew the status or even where my car was. They gave me a rental for about a month, then took it back to give me another since my car wasn’t ready. When I finally got my car back in September, just days later, I noticed the sunroof slider made a loud noise and the tire fender cover was loose because of their technician’s handling. I’m very pleased and impressed with the CarMax buying experience and customer service model. I drove 6 hours to buy a vehicle. On the way home, it threw a few codes. I took it to a different location where I was met with several solutions. They ended up giving me a loaner vehicle (very nice car that I was allowed to assist in choosing) and helped me ship another vehicle there, all while my new car was being looked at. Turns out the original car I bought needed work only a dealer can do and it was likely going to be well over a month. They have been super friendly and customer service based throughout the process. They’ve definitely earned my business in the future. Way to go with this business model.

I can’t say enough about George S… he’s been an enormous help for 2 weeks straight. When I first came in to test drive he was very friendly and professional. That car fell though for me due to personal issues. I waited and eventually shipped a different jeep to this location. Came in after work on a Thursday went and looked at the jeep and was sold. He kept it fun, professional and even was polite to my toddler. I’m in love with my gladiator and would definitely recommend asking for him to be your sales guy!!
