Checkered Flag Auto Repair and Engine Rebuild

I brought my vehicle to Checkered Flag Auto Repair after noticing a knocking noise coming from my engine and honestly had no idea what the problem could be. Mr. Panky, the owner, was extremely knowledgeable, honest, and professional from the very beginning. He thoroughly inspected my vehicle and clearly explained what the issue was and what needed to be done to fix it. What I appreciated most was his honesty and fair pricing, along with how quickly he was able to get my car repaired. The service was efficient, and I felt confident that my vehicle was in good hands the entire time. I had my engine rebuilt here and I didn’t know much about cars and the owner fully informed me of the process and pricing. If anything ever happens with my car again, I’m definitely going back to him and I’d recommend him to anyone! :)

NEVER bring your vehicle to these people! They had my truck for over a year and kept giving me the runaround. Most the time they would ignore my calls. When I finally had enough and was getting a lawyer they said my truck was fixed. It was in another mechanic shop the very next day. These people don't know what they are doing.

They rebuilt my engine and my car was doing fine enough. But a year later I have a main seal oil leak so bad that I can't even drive it. So on top of the $3,000 I already paid them for the rebuild, I'll have to pay an additional $2,500 for someone else to fix something that they should have repaired correctly during the engine rebuild. Also after the rebuild, my heater and AC wasn't working so I had to pay another $1,500 to get that fixed by a separate mechanic because I wasn't getting response from this place. I tried calling them when it happened so that they can check it out, but they didn't answer the phone, and were never at the shop when I went by a few times. Even went to the place next door that they are affiliated with, and never got a response. They were nice people to talk to, b

I would not recommend, had my motor rebuilt and upon leaving my car was giving me problems. Killed on me while heading home and frequently while driving in addition two weeks later my car sits broken with the same issue that was supposed to be corrected! Finally got in touch with him and he agreed to come look at the car. But never showed and won't answer phone. And told me that I must've ran my car hot. Lies!!! If motor was rebuilt and fluids were changed and filled there is no reason for it to run hot! Especially when I've haven't been able to drive it due to it constantly killing. Which wasn't a issue before the so called repair
