I brought my 2001 Camry to Chief because I needed a new exhaust manifold with a catalytic converter so I could pass NJ inspection. I told Oscar very clearly that my current aftermarket manifold had no cat and that I needed the correct part to pass. He first quoted me $650 for a new part and $125 for labor (a 30-minute job that I’ve done myself before at a rent-a-lift in Michigan). To save money on the part, I bought a used manifold on eBay and asked him if he could install it. He said “ok, but then I will charge $150 for labor since you bring your own part.” After he installed it, I asked, “So do you think it will pass inspection?” and he casually said, “I don’t think so, the part you brought me had no catalytic converter.” He knew from the beginning that I needed the cat in order to pass

I would not recommend anyone to this place. I had front and back brakes, all 4 Rotors, front and back struts changed last year. I bought all the parts and got charged $900 to install everything. Because I paid cash he never gave me a receipt. This past weekend I found out none of the parts were changed according to my new mechanic. He showed me everything when my car was on the lift. Everything that was allegedly changed last year never happened. I hope the owner Oscar chokes on my money. Hes a crook. Women be aware.

Chief is King! Service and Price. Two other mechanics wanted $1800 and $1400 for my Acura timing belt change with full kit. Chief...$750...and it was done in 1 day.
