Classic Mazda

This was our first experience with the Classic family. My daughter was searching for a reliable "new to her" vehicle. Sarah Holland was accommodating, attentive, and easy to deal with. She went out of her way to help us find the right car by sending me a video tour of the vehicle we were interested in and bringing comparable vehicles over from other lots. You will need to advocate with the number shufflers to get your best deal, but Sarah will take good care of you through the buying process. It was worth the 3 hour drive (twice) to put my daughter in the right car.

This will be yet another review about Mazda Phil, more formally known as Phil A. Mazda Phil sold my mom on her first mazda back in 2020… then sold her on an upgrade back in 2024. In February, after driving my mom’s car for a year, needing to upgrade from a 2014 Toyota Rav4, I reached out to Mazda Phil. I came in, test drove a hybrid cx-50, and walked out to move onto the next dealership, as I was testing my options. My mom and I walked into Honda of Mentor, and immediately agreed we wanted to go back to classic mazda and sign papers. Later that night I set my sights on a Cypress Green CX-50 Premium, which Mazda of Mentor was set to get in at the end of the month. I’ve never owned a Mazda- what an awesome vehicle! We had 2 experienced mechanics, a car buff and family member (Mechanical Engineer who just bought a Mazda) recommend the Mazda CX-5 and the Toyota RAV4. Both seemed good but the Mazda colors and options blew away the Toyota (way boring 🥱) so we ended up at Classic Mazda in Mentor. I like car shopping as much as a visit to the dentist but this experience was surprisingly pleasant! Low pressure, knowledgeable sales person (shout out to Jesus O. He even sent personal video tutorials, as we couldn’t stay after the purchase for the instructions 😃👍) The whole process was streamlined, professional and pretty quick. Put this dealership on your radar you won’t be disappointed.

Can’t say enough good things about Classic Mazda of Mentor. My wife and I bought 2 new Mazda CX-5’s within a 2 month span. I was pretty much a pain in the butt with my decision making as new car buyers usually are…. But was still treated great and with a smile! Classic owes a big thumbs up to Bryan Walker and Bob Caukins for these two car sales! They bent over backwards to help me get a military discount on both cars when they could have easily given up.
