Coliseum Lexus of Oakland Service Department

I came in for an oil change and found out my engine wiring had rodent damage and needed to be replaced, which unexpectedly took close to 2 weeks to repair. Unfortunately I was leaving the country for a month before my car was repaired but Jonas Woodson and the team did a great job of walking me through the insurance approval and repair process, and also storing my vehicle upon my return. He also collaborated with someone in sales so that I could pick up my car on a Sunday when the service department is closed. Great service all around and it was a pleasant surprise that they did an A++ job cleaning my car interior after the repair.

I had a bad experience with this Service Department They where not honest about the things that I had concerns about. they where more focused on parts on my car that where not "OEM" and recommended it be changed to a OEM part. The transmission issue was never addressed or brought up. all they told me was it was because of the Mass Air flow sensor not being OEM. missing the fact my transmission fluid was low an was causing the hard shifts. but charged me $800 for something my car did not need. how do you charge for a Diagnostic fee for that reason and you fail to communicate that fact. I have sent Emails left voicemails and got no response back. don't take your car here for any type of servicing.

I had a terrible experience with the service department at this location. I went in for my annual oil change and maintenance, but when I picked up my car, I noticed a scratch on my steering wheel. When I confronted them about it, they told me the technician who worked on my car wasn’t there. I don’t speak much English, but I remembered that one of their employees spoke Mandarin because he had helped me translate before. However, this time, he suddenly claimed he only spoke Cantonese and English, which made communication even harder. I had to use a translation app, but the manager dismissed my complaint, saying the scratch was “not big” and they couldn’t do anything about it. I don't like the vibe here although it's so much closer to where I am. I prefer to drive to Fremont Lexus for all my services. They're so much more respectful and they value your presence there much more. The associates have been rude to me a couple of times coming in to the Oakland location. I don't recommend.

Very helpful. They did not charge me for some coaching and adjustment of my dashboard controls. Parts department also was very helpful
