I saw a 2022 Ford Explorer on their website, the miles and price seemed right, so I made a call, I got a bunch more pictures and info and requested a buyers order, we set pickup for the following Saturday, I decided a test drive would be in order, I’m glad that I did. It turned out that there was a noise, I felt it was a wheel bearing (common problem on explorers with 70k ish miles), they said that I could make the purchase and that they would fix it and deliver the car to me (3 1/2 hours each way), it turned out being a differential assembly, $2000 or so to fix in a shop. Instead of trying to pass the cost onto me, or nixing the deal and refunding my money, fixed and delivered the car. Don and Brad helped me get settled in my new (to me) Ford Police Explorer and it went about as smooth as you can make it. They didn’t push me, I took a solo long test drive, got a fair price for my trade in, and it was really about as good a car service as you can get. Bought car there two years ago...paid slightly over fair market value because I really needed a car. It started to show rust after having it for 6 months...everything started to go wrong with it..after numerous repairs I decided to trade it in after paying on loan for almost two years..found out the frame was almost completely rusted through in two spots...underneath the car had been painted so that it wouldn't show the large amount of rust the car had. Rust had been painted over on doors as well...this car was kept in our garage when not being driven. When I bought this suv it was only 7 years old..I still don't know what would have happened to cause this much rust to accumulate inside and outside car..I will NEVER buy a car from Spencer Ford again.
