COMP Cams GoParts

Products are hit and miss for quality. Warranty is terrible. Had a brand new, never on the road cam and lifter set go bad during break-in. The engine shop said they had several go bad recently and warned about the crappy warranty process, but I tried anyway. I had already purchased replacement parts and the comp cams warranty guy wanted me to send the suspect parts at my own cost. They said if they determine it's defective they would only cover the lifters. I had already purchased the replacement parts so getting more lifters wouldn't help. When your getting an engine built you can't let your car and engine it sit in the shops waiting for a combersome warranty process. I kept my bad parts and plan on telling everyone.

Comp Cams used to have a good reputation. Not anymore. I placed an order back in December, package never shipped. I called at the end of January, at mid-February, at early March, and at early April. All 4 times I was told "4-6 weeks", and that the camshaft "blank" was not in stock. They eventually sent me a different camshaft in April. The kicker, is that I didn't receive what I wanted. The product picture they showed had roller lifters, yet this is not what they were actually selling. This is very deceptive, and resulted in a very bad experience for one of my customers. I attached a picture from their website today, of another camshaft which displays roller lifters, yet the product doesn't actually include roller lifters. Take my advice and do not buy a camshaft from this business anymore. The employees have let the executives run the business into the ground. Fire all the executives for this company. Sell off all blackrock and vanguard owned shares of this company. If the executives of this company aren't removed immediately, it will fail. They use cheap chinese junk for steel, and their camshafts now have a reputation of destroying engines they're put into. A lot of modification outfits have moved far away from using comp cams products anymore. It's a shame. They used to make a fantastic product.

Can’t get anyone to answer the phone. EVER! They obviously don’t give a crap about their business. Well I don’t either anymore. They can rot.

No one answers the phone. Plus they'll have you wait and count down the callers in front of you until you get down there and then they say to call back. If you have a problem I feel sorry for you because you won't get anyone to help.
