We called on a Saturday morning because our transmission was acting strange and David kindly told us to come right over and he’d take a look. He had one of his men run a diagnostic test and gave us the information and advised us of our options. It was such a relief to reach a helpful and competent person who took the time with us on such short notice. Thank you, David for your expertise and advice. We highly recommend Competition Automotive for their excellent customer service.
I moved to Island Park and needed a mechanic. I passed Competition Automotive numerous times and just stopped in. I met and spoke with Dave the owner and mechanic. Great guy. I had the brakes and a few other things done the following day. Very reasonable and fast. Brought the car in at 8am and had it back by noon. Come here you won't be disappointed. Everyone that works there is personable and professional. Thanks again Dave!
Had an amazing experience with these guys. I normally go to a different mechanic that is closer to were I live but when my car went into limp mode around the corner from them on a Sunday, it was just easy. And to be honest using a new mechanic is a bit scary. But these guys were quick and super honest easy to deal with. Definitely going to be switching all my future needs to this shop. Thank you Dave, Manny and crew.
Friendly staff. I needed a NYS inspection and they took me right away. They do full service here. Check them out.
