Consumer Auto Parts

This is not a review about employees directly but experience with the company and its practices. I bought an AGM battery from the hartford ct store before it closed. The battery within its 48mo warranty. It failed. I call the next closest store geographically. Only to be told it doesn't matter if the battery is 10 days old or 4 years, without a paper receipt, there's nothing I can do besides buy a new one. There are no digital records, no emailed receipts, nothing. Unlike any other autoparts store pretty much in the plane, log into your account or search by phone number BOOM a proof of purchase. Never again will I buy from consumer autoparts. I am now out a $300 battery because I can't locate a paper receipt from 3+ years ago. Poor record keeping practices.

CAP was bought by PepBoys a while ago (2019?) All the knowledgeable staff that likely was being paid a bit more was let go and now they have horrific customer service. Tis a shame, it used to be a great place.

Called to see if they had a part in stock and the guy said they did, I told him to make sure it was the right one before I drove 30 minutes to go pick it up and he said it was, when I got there it was the wrong part so I drove all the way there for nothing when I got there the guy was acting like he had no clue it was the wrong piece and had no idea who I spoke to, terrible customer service don't waiste your time coming here.

This was the worst customer service I ever got this guy is to young to be so miserable no eye iContact no thank you terrible attitude he should not be working behind the counter.. this is the consumer auto parts in Milford mass do not go to this store if he’s working there and you will know who he is buy his attitude I will never shop there again.....

Great inventory, if they don't have it, they will order and have it next day without even a deposit. Milford store is great, very knowledgeable, friendly staff.
