Costco Tire Service Center

I did not look at reviews prior to buying tires and scheduling installation at this Brandywine location. Doing so might have saved me an entire day. I had an appointment for 12:15 pm. I arrived at 12:08. I had called ahead of time, they said it would probably take an hour to an hour and a half. They didn’t even bring my car into the shop until 3:15 pm. I would have a whole lot more respect if they said, drop it off… expect it to take all day. But it almost seems they have no professionalism or time consideration at all for people or poor practices or poorly trained front desk people that are allowing walk-ins to come before people who have appointments. Had to give 1 star to leave a review otherwise it would be a ZERO. GET YOUR TIRES AND TIRE SERVICE SOMEWHERE ELSE. Appointments mean nothing here. Had brand new tires installed, and made a 5pm appointment. Almost 3 hours later before my car was pulled in and I was given the excuse that one of the tire balancing machines broke. Irritated, but I gave a pass due to the equipment issue. 3 days later one of the tires was flat. Made an appointment to get it fixed over the phone. My wife showed up for the appointment, and she was told there was no appointment on file! I had the timestamp of the call for when I made the appointment. Agree with others about appointments vs walk-in. I had an appointment at 1045, got a call at 1230 saying they couldn't rotate my tires because the tread is too worn. 2 hrs after my scheduled appointment just to let me know they can't do it? I bought an 80k mile warranty tires, and it only had 45k miles on it with tread of 4/32 and 5/32 all around. when asked what is not acceptable, they said 2-3/32 is too low. So, how is mine not rotatable? They are low profile sports car style tires. It's above their said cutoff. They denied my warranty claim saying I missed 1 rotation 2 years ago and had 10k miles between rotations. I recall they never gave me the paperwork that 1 time, and they blamed me. I honestly don't understand how this location is still in business. Your appointment is over looked for walk-ins. I made an appointment for 10:45 a.m. my car was not touched until 12:30. None of the staff can explain why this happens but I witnessed several other customers experiencing the same thing. There should be staff dedicated to appointments only. Extremely frustrating!!

I was given a call prior to arriving for my 10:45 appointment that there was an issue inside the building and would need to come to the side door to be serviced. I arrived on time, filled out some paper. Service Tech checked to make sure my tires were in and that they were in fact the correct tires because my wheels are staggered. The Tech said I could wait for it or wait outside. The store soon opened back up and I walked around for about 30mins, by the time I made it to checkout my car was completed and they pulled up to the front for me. I have no complaints and was pleased with my service. Very convenient and professional. Will suggest others for this service.
