Costco Tire Service Center

On 3/4/26 Wednesday I received the worst service I have ever been through, tires were purchased at Costco (~$1200) 6 months prior. I had a screw in the tire and I slapped on the spare the night before. Series of events are as follow. -10:16AM Check in for a flat repair (wheel was off of vehicle already) and a rotation. - technician mentioned that if I wanted a rotation, vehicle would take 2-3 hours to complete. I said, “ok please just fix the flat”. -tech deemed flat was not repairable (too close to sidewall). -2 hours elapse and I mentioned to go ahead and do rotation since I did not want to reschedule. -4 hours elapse. Car is complete and supervisor mentioned the tire was indeed repairable. -supervisor then says they failed to do the rotation. He says, “give me 10 minutes to complete.”

If not taking care of customer is a tire shop. It has to be this one. The tire service at Georgetown Costco. I have had more than 10 years of good experience with any costco any state (at least 10 shop visited) this has to be the worst one. And it is far below the second to the last. Reason 1: in the late year of 2024. They seized a lug on one tire. Take couple hours of wait (with appointment) they told me, we can’t do anything, you have to go to mechanic shop to have it cut. Take me couple trips and at least 5 hours of time (drive to shop and Costco) to have it cut, Costco did reimburse me 20 dollars for the work. And another 2 hours to rotate and balance the tire (with appointment) Reason 2. Made an appointment at hour and half before store close. There was only one person to work on

Costco needs to give these guys a clock, because they don't know what an hour is. We made an appointment about a week in advance to have 4 tires replaced. We arrive, get told the job would take about an hour, and start crawling around the store to pass the time. About two and a half hours later we finally get the call that our vehicle is ready to go. No explanation or apology, just passed us our key so they could start working on the next poor soul. I'm guessing this is Georgetown Costco's strategy to get us to buy more. Unfortunately for them we just raided all their free samples.

They were right on time for my appointment and were finished right on time and had excellent Communications along the way. And who can can complain when a hot dog and a Coke is $1.50 while you're waiting. Good job Costco!

Had an appointment today and took 3 hours for them to do something that they told us would take 40 min-1 hour. They guy was super nice but it seemed that they were understaffed and a lot of miscommunication.
