They truly saved my life! Last Sunday, on the final day of the Thanksgiving holiday, I was driving from the South Bay to San Francisco when I suddenly noticed a bubble on my tire. I was terrified to keep driving, so I slowly took local roads and made it to the Costco Tire Center in Redwood City. Kai, the staff member who helped us, was incredibly kind and attentive. He explained that because of the holiday, they didn’t have my tire in stock and couldn’t replace it that day. But he immediately offered to check inventory at other locations and said I could also schedule an appointment after the holiday. Since I urgently needed to get to a meeting in San Francisco, I asked if they could at least help me install the spare tire. My trunk was completely full of items I had to bring to the mee

My Husband was less than sattisfied with the service today. He made an appointment for 4 pm and it took them 5 hours to give him the truck back. Does it really take 5 hours to put new tires on? What is the point of having customers schedule an appointment if it will take so long? And to top it off they “lost” a tire cap and just told my husband they were sorry. He now has to replace it and got little to no help in return.

Best prices on tires and an install around, with the peace of mind that Costco gives customers on every purchase (for tires, there's a 30 day reutnr policy, so take-em up to mountains and make sure they work like you want). This tire shop is often booked for over a week out, so make sure you plan ahead of time. But if you can't schedule that far ahead, they will accommodate walk-ins on the day-of. If they have the tire you want in stock, drop off your car as soon as they open and they will fit the tires as they have availability. They usually let 2-4 people do this a day, but understand that it's not quick, they just work on it as people are late or when there are no-shows.

I was surprised to find that this was the only Costco in my area with next-day appointments available. However, after enduring a 3-hour wait for a simple tire rotation and balance, it became clear why. My mistake was not checking recent reviews of this tire center beforehand. Booking an appointment seems pointless—after waiting for 2 hours, I was informed that they hadn’t even started on my car. Finding someone at the front desk felt like a mission, and I didn't notice any sense of urgency among the staff that would justify such a long delay. I never expected this kind of experience at Costco, and I won’t be returning to this location.

I truly don’t understand the purpose of making an appointment at this place. Made an appointment for a tire rotation and was told it would take 1.5 hours and they would call me when it’s done. 1.5 hours pass and I get a call that they’d be unable to rotate my tires because the tread was too thin on the front tires. So they clearly had not looked at my vehicle for 1.5 hours even with a prescheduled appointment! Such a waste of time. Additionally, the guy said he’d pull my car out of the garage and meet me out back to give me my keys. I walk around to the back, my car is pulled out, but the guy is off doing other things now. Have to wait around to flag the guy down again and when I ask for my keys, he clearly doesn’t remember telling me to meet him around out back.
