We were beyond happy with the care our dad received while under the care of Country House. The staff was amazing, and the facility is beautiful. In the short time dad was there he bonded with staff and I really enjoyed getting g to meet other residence.

In 2025, our family toured MANY care facilities in Cedar Rapids, soon to be VERY discouraged/disappointed at what we saw. COUNTRYHOUSE RESIDENCE got our FIRST THUMBS UP upon entry into their driveway. Unexpectedly, we found a pretty, inviting building that did NOT look like an “institutional” facility, but like an “up to date” cozy apartment complex! Beautiful shiny/clean windows, well maintained building and outside areas void of trash got our attention! 🤞 Hoping the interior would be as nice, the entry was extremely CLEAN, WARM & WELCOMING for residents and guests - and it SMELLED GREAT!! 😊 We were IMMEDIATELY greeted like “old friends” stopping by for a visit, (NOT so much at other facilities.☹️) We were given a COMPLETE impressive tour of facility-informed of policies/prices/procedu

We did not have a good experience with this facility. The rooms & dining area are beautiful & they had daily activities which were great. The problem was the care for my loved one was not a priority with the staff. They changed her medicines after 1 month of moving in & they changed 4 all at once that made her have a terrible reaction, which they then evicted her. For the staff to not understand that medicine takes time to slowly start up one medicine at a time to see how your loved one reacts or to slowly remove a med before discontinuing, is why I gave a low score.

The entire staff at Country House in Cedar Rapids goes above and beyond every single day. Both of my parents were residents until my mom's passing just a few days ago. Mom had the absolute best care for the three years she was there. Not only did the staff take care of her needs, they truly loved her and treated her like family. Now they know Dad is hurting and are giving him even more of the TLC he needs. We cannot thank the staff enough. This includes all the medical personnel, the chefs, the maintenance crew, the hairdresser, the office staff, the activity directors and anyone I failed to mention. We are forever grateful.

My father has been a resident since February-he has adjusted well, the staff is caring, facility is very nice and always clean. Food is amazing ! The staff not only care for the residents, they help the family through this rough journey -memory care is all new to me -they have been wonderful to work with supporting both my father and family. Couldn’t ask for more!
