When I need a loving environment- this is where I want to be! My 75 year old mother has been at Delmar Gardens in Smyrna since July… She is in the independent living side and I could not be happier with this decision. There are fabulous activities for the residents, healthy food, transportation is available to doctors and shopping, not to mention the salon, and doctors that come to Delmar so residents can get everything they need without even leaving home! Perhaps the best part of Delmar is the administration and staff… they truly care about their residents! Moving my 92 year old mother from her friends and her home for 60 years was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. But the staff and residents at Delmar Gardens have made the transition so much easier for us. From the moment I walked in the door I knew this was the Assisted Living Facility for her. The big pink and purple flowers on the carpet, the cool light fixtures, the neon green and fuchsia furniture, and the pastel walls make the place look more like a trendy resort than a senior living facility. There is a “happy” feeling when you walk in the door. My mother has done so well and I’m so thankful for the caring staff that gives her so much attention and provides so much to make her lifestyle comfortable and enjoyable.

My 98 year old mother resides at Delmar Gardens (Smyrna) and has lived there since 2013. Delmar Gardens (Smyrna) has shown my mother lots of love and concern as she continues to age. Sure, there are problems from time to time, but we dont worry about mom because we feel that she is in good hands on a daily basis at Delmar Gardens (Smyrna) and any concern is addressed. My family consistently checks on our mother to ensure that she receives the care that she needs. The Director, Lokyee Lee, the Social Worker, Clare Smith and all of the Nurses, Doctors and CNAs should be commended on the quality care they provide.

Finding the right place for your loved one is a mind boggling, emotionally taxing, sometimes feeling of hopelessness until after examining all the data and making all the phone calls you finally make contact with caring, knowledgeable, professional and compassionate people like Danielle Wells and Melissa Jones of Delmar Gardens of Smyrna who make you feel like family and you know without a doubt that this is it!! My mother is 90 and had repeatedly expressed her fear of going to a nursing home but she now tells everyone that at Delmar Gardens she believes she is in heaven.... everyone is wonderful!!
