I mostly own classic cars because vehicles now a days are just computers on wheels so it's hard to find mechanics who work on cars older then the 1990's. I was referred to Dettmer Automotive 10yrs for my 64 GMC pickup not running right i did everything I knew I could then sent it to Dettmer for them to hopefully figure out what the problem was? Within 2 weeks I was told it was ready to be picked up. Sure enough it was fixed and was running perfect. Since then I have sent all of my classic cars and their issues that I can't take care of or figure out to Dettmer with perfect results so I have no problem recommending them to anyone with classic or non classic car issues. It's hard to find trustworthy mechanic or shop nowadays that you don't have to worry about the quality of work when you get

Really great first experience with Dettmer this week. They were able to fix my Jeep for a fair price and were very easy to work with. I unfortunately don't trust most automotive places due to past experiences, but I will say that i trust Dettmer and will definitely work with them again if the need arises.

Friendly, fast, and honest about the car process. Never fail to check out this auto shop. Worth the time, effort, and most importantly vehicle longevity! A must for anyone wanting proper work.

What a fantastic experience. I brought in my jeep in one thing, which was going to be pricey, but Chuck quickly diagnosed it as something else, related, but half the price. Chuck communicated regularly throughout the process and the repair was quick, at quote, and the jeep has never driven better. I'd give them 6 stars if I could.

This place is amazing! They treat you like family. My husband and I were on our way out of town for our anniversary and the trunk of our car wouldn't open. 1 call to Dettmer and they said to come right in. 10 min after we got there the car was fixed and we were told "Happy Anniversary" and not charged. I trust this company with all our cars and even more!
