DeVoss Auto Service LLC - Auto Service, Auto Repair Shop in Richmond, VA

I needed a mechanic for my new-to-me Subaru, and the folks at DeVoss auto got me in the next week. Everyone was friendly and professional and while I never look forward to car issues, I’d look forward to coming back here. The cost and time was reasonable and my mechanic was polite and efficient. Plus they have the cutest shop dogs!

I’ve had 3 great experiences with Devoss auto. Jerry, Barbara, and Nick have all been wonderful at explaining the problem and giving me their personal & professional advice. I always leave feeling taken care of, honest work, honest prices. I did a lot of research looking for a good shop last year after having horrible work elsewhere in the fan. I’m very glad to have found Devoss. There’s definitely a reason they’ve been in business almost 50 years.

At the start of our winter storm on 12/8/25 I was leaving the gym to find my car battery had died. Walked into DeVoss to see if they could help me out as they were closing up shop due to the weather. Dave walked with me a block away in the snow to jump my car and Nick had me pull around back to switch out the battery before he left for the day. Absolutely amazing dudes. Could have easily dismissed me and got out of there for the day. Definitely will be using these guys for any future maintenance.

I met Dave randomly and could tell that he was so knowledgeable on auto repairs. He said he worked at DeVoss, I called the next day to set up an appointment. I needed my cars air conditioning repair. They were able to squeeze me in the next day. Professional, knowledgeable, fair pricing. I couldn’t recommended them higher. Absolute professionals and they will be used for my commercial fleet. They earned a lifelong customer. AC blows ice cold now!
