I went to get a Vehicle Safety Inspection done to register a salvage vehicle. The technician told me I needed to replace one of the rear tires, so I did. When I returned, he said the other rear tire also had to be the same brand, even though both tires were the same size and both were in good condition now. To double-check, I called five other shops that perform Vehicle Safety Inspections, and they all agreed that tire brand doesn't matter—only the size needs to match and they both need to be in good condition. I then contacted the Bureau of Automotive Repair, and they confirmed the same thing: only the size and condition of the tires are relevant, not the brand.

We have been going here for years. My dad was the first to come here. Loved the techs and quality of service. Then my brother starting coming here. I soon followed. I have had three cars in my lifetime. Jorge has served them all. My husband now brings his car too. They do a really good job at explaining everything to you. They handle your smog check in a timely matter. Highly recommend Discount Smog!!!

I can say nothing but good things about this location. George is a very personable and fair business owner. The quality of work far outweighs the amazing service they give. More businesses should take a lesson from this location because it truly has set a great standard.
