Discount Tire

Fast service but they lost parts that were installed on my vehicle when I dropped it off and did not offer me reimbursement for the damage. I had a flat tire on the road that I changed out this morning with my spare, and decided it was time to get 4 new ones. I came to Discount Tires because they were able to order in some Goodyear Duratracs and could service my vehicle today. When I arrived, it turns out they didn’t have the 10-ply, but that’s not a deal-breaker… we go outside, during inspection they take a note of the following: my spare is installed rear driver side, I want to keep my rear passenger tire, and takes note of condition of the tires. Excellent service, quicker than I anticipated (which allowed me to make a business appointment!), pricing was great and care was taken to meet my expectations. I am grateful and pleased. Lately I have not been happy with this place. I went for tires on my truck few months back and they charge extra fees and junk charges and say one price on the phone and then charge you and the price is way higher then what was told. Just went for 2 trailer tires with a G rating for my 5th wheel. Same thing happened was told a price then my card is charged over $120 extra. I’ve been a customer for many years and Chris the manager has been great now they do not let you speak to Chris so he can take care of the pricing error with his team. I would recommend not going to this location if you have a choice. Note when I called them out on the pricing they got defensive and removed my certificates and justified the pricing

Went into the Los Lunas location to have by tires balanced because one of the weights had fallen off. These tires were purchased from and installed at this location only four months prior. Because I didn’t have an appointment, I was told I would be waiting 1:45-2:00 hours but there were only 5 cars in front of me (more than a dozen were taken back before my completion time). I was ok with waiting and the young man who helped me was kind. At quoted “finish” time I asked how much longer and was told I was in the “staging area” and would be next. 3 more cars were taken before mine. I told the assistant manager that I would just call it a day and go to a different location as I had been waiting for well over 2 hours. He disappeared and my car was taken back. Great experience at this store. Stopped in to order tires as I knew they didn’t have them in stock, but wanted to ask questions. Sales rep was very helpful and answered all my questions and provided some helpful insight. Two days later when my tires arrived at the store, I went in at my scheduled appointment time and they had my truck in the bay within 10 minutes. Probably would have been sooner, but I was late to my appointment due to road construction traffic. Again, great service from the sales staff getting me set up and the technicians did a great job as well!
