Doc's Custom Transmissions

After 7 months of sitting at the shop they still couldn't fix the transmission. Broke studs off hub bearings after they were replaced brand new. Interior dirty. Paint was scratched and dented the car. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Would never recommend. Not professional at all. Took car in worse condition it went in. Took to Aamco where they fixed this within days. Beware!!! After taking this to a real professional there were parts taken off and informed me there were parts replaced with old parts. There were parts not even attached and bolts missing. Make sure before you leave everything is attached and every part you had replaced I would take a picture before hand because they will be gone.

Would not recommend. Constantly drinking beer. Not sure what high there on but its definitely something illegal. Had them "rebuild" my transmission. Now my truck has more problems then it went in there with. Muitltipe computers are damaged. They broke my dash apart. My ac controller was broken and left dangling. My radio no longer works. The engine has codes it never had before I took it in. My engine runs like trash now. When i dropped it off it ran perfectly fine. My bezel for the radio and ac won't even clip back into what's left of the dash. Told me a few days, had it over a month. Still doesn't run right. The guy told me they used parts laying around the shop at first. Then "finally" ordered new parts. Going to have to pay another shop way more than there quote to get my truck fixed.

Worst experience of my life. The kept my car over a month, either blocked my number or just wouldn't answer my phone calls. After they put in a used trans I was broke down on the side of the road the next day. They insisted the trans was fine and that I can't bring the car back to them. When in in took the car to a legit mechanic they said the trans was missing so many nuts and bolts it would be a liability to drive. Not to mention they are incredibly rude. If you already gave them your car and your reading this after the fact, I'm sorry.

Too bad NIGHTMARE isn't one of the quality choices! I saved a lot of money going to Doc's, but have had nothing but headaches from the about the time I got my car to him, 2 years ago, until now. He had my car for 2 1/2 weeks and had to rebuild the transmission FOUR times before he got it 'right;' however, it still isn't right. There was a 6 month warranty on his work. It didn't take weeks before my transmission was slipping as badly as it had when I took it in originally. I would have loved to have made him rebuild my transmission AGAIN, but I was afraid to allow this hack back under the hood of my car! My steering column broke while in his 'care.' I don't know how a transmission guy breaks a steering column...but it was perfectly fine until I got my car back from him. It may hav
