Don’t Tread Garage (Auto Repair & Motorcycle Repair)

He has our vehicle held hostage since July 2025. after weeks of trying to contact and get him to send us an invoice so we could get our vehicle back, we eventually had to call the police. They forced him to give us a total. He said $1100.00 and he would have it pulled out of his garage for us to tow. We went to his shop to meet him at the agreed time to give him $1100.00, and he didn’t show up to his shop to receive payment. He Had moved another car in front of his garage doors and has my jeep locked inside. He has my Jeep Locked in his garage and refuses to give me my vehicle back. Refuses to provide an invoice with services itemised. Refuses to take payment. Refuses to show me my vehicle. How is this legal??

Has had my vehicle for almost 11 weeks. I cannot get him to communicate with me. Claims he has it taken apart but had not ordered parts even though he's had the money for the parts for over 6 weeks.
