Doug Lenz Auto Electric

Stopped by last week needing a pulley for an alternator for my boat. Doug (the D I assume) is no nonsense, super helpful, and totally saved my day. Will def use again if I’m the area and may even travel to Daytona if I need something. Highly recommended!!!

I recently used the services of Doug Lenz Auto Electric in Daytona Beach for the starter on my 1963 Pontiac Grand Prix. The work was done efficiently and was very reasonably priced. The staff was not only professional but also personable. Thank you.

PLEASE READ!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO DOUG LENZ AUTO ELECTRIC! READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS, AND LISTEN! THEY DON’T EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR! I WILL BE REPORTING THEM TO “BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU”! I had my vehicle a (BUICK LACROSSE) towed to “DOUG LENZ” on JULY 7th. I was then left a voicemail by DOUG EMPLOYEE on JULY 9th stating the diagnosis, and the fees of $1283.73! I was told that the “ECM” needed to be replaced! I returned the call that same day, and told them to proceed with the LABOR! I waited a few days, and called them to see if the vehicle was ready. I WAS TOLD THE “ECM” THAT THEY HAD ORDERED WAS NO GOOD, AND THEY HAD TO ORDER A NEW ONE! I WAITED A FEW DAYS, AND CALLED AGAIN… SAME ANSWER! I CALLED THEM AGAIN AFTER WAITING WEEKS, AND HAD TO ASK THEM TO PLEASE CALL ME WITH UPDATES!

UPDATE: Not even 2 weeks after having my car diagnosed and fixed there. I’m stuck with the exact same problem except now it won’t even start and we are stuck in a parking garage. We called this place when it messed up again and the man that answered said that he fixed the problem. Clearly he didn’t. At all. Or myself. My husband. And our kids wouldn’t be stuck. He does not at all guarantee his work. 10/10 do not recommend. He said it was the throttle body. Which we had already replaced. So it was confusing to me why he thought it would be the throttle body. Turns out it isn’t at all the throttle body

Did an amazing job on my 2014 Jeep Patriot! Doug Lenz was recommended to me by PepBoys when I went to get my throttle body replaced, and then we realized that wasn’t the issue. They suspected it was the ECU and referred me. Once I called they were able to get me in immediately and confirm the issue. Within 2 days I had my car back and it’s running like it was when I got it. I would definitely recommend them to anyone having this kind of work done. Thank you guys for your hard work and getting my car back up and running!
