I own a 1994 chevrolet 1500 that i am currently in the process of fully restoring. The truck has less than 100,000 miles on it. These trucks are notoriously easy to work on. There is so much room in the engine bay you can literally stand inside of it. I called them because i wanted to have the engine head gasket replaced. I was told, "We won't do a head gasket job on something that old. We dont want to mess with it." I was disgusted. Apparently you have to own a modern laptop on wheels in order for them to be interested in working on it. Was i given a reason? Absolutely not. I guess they aren't interested in making two to 3 thousand dollars on an easy to work on cast iron engine. My front seat was stuck in the recline position. I took it to the local Buick dealership. They told me I needed a whole new seat back and quoted me $1300. I wasn't expecting it to cost that much so told them I wanted to get a 2nd opinion and was charged $200 for them to just look at it and give me that quote. My boss suggested Downtown Auto. I took it to them, they said that yes, I did need the whole new seat back. They looked up the cost of the part and then their labor. Their quote was half of what the dealership was. They are honest and fair. I highly recommend Downtown Auto Service.

I was driving back to Canada and 2 miles out of my scheduled overnight in Salina Kansas, I experienced a sudden loss of power and more than a couple warning lights on the dash. I was able to nurse it to my hotel for the night.The next morning, the car ran fine, no lights on the dash, very mysterious. I went to Downtown Auto Service based on their Google reviews and was not disappointed. He was up front and said he couldn't do a repair for me that day, but he did scan the car, and gave me the trouble codes. Service is not only fast but affordable.brought in my cat to have new brakes put on and it only took 2 hours.haf my car back the same day I dropped it off.will definitely visit for future repairs and maintenance.
