Jesús is the only mechanic I’ve ever felt like I could trust! Does a fabulous job at very reasonable prices. If he finds something unexpected asks you first before fixing. The shop is not much to look at from the outside but that’s because they’re not charging you for frills.

On NYE our truck broke down. More specifically the brakes stopped working. At the time I was delivering orders for Instacart and quickly became anxious about how I would fix what was wrong. El Vela’s was located very close to where I had broken down and I called to see if they had any availability. Sure enough I was told to come by immediately and that they would help me. The gentlemen at El Vela’s did exactly that. I explained the problem and they broke down for me exactly what was wrong and what it would cost to fix. We agreed to the work that I could afford and no more than two hours later I was good to go with two new brake cylinders and back to delivering. The service was excellent while the owners/employees were hospitable, fair & kind. Reasonable prices and knowledgable mechanics.
