I’ve been working with Ener-Z for about three years now and they’ve always treated me right. They’re upfront, communication is clear, and they’re transparent about their warranty process and how everything works. They’re located in California, but shipping has been fast and reliable, and they’ve been easy to work with when questions come up. I’ve purchased multiple hybrid battery packs from them over the years (Ford Escape Hybrid packs and a Highlander pack) and the pricing has been very fair for the value. One note for anyone ordering a hybrid battery: do your research and confirm you’re fixing the correct root problem before ordering—battery codes don’t always mean the battery itself is bad. If I could give them a 0 star I would. Cost me so much money dealing with this company. I ordered a battery, it didn’t work. Sent it back and got sent out another one, didn’t work either. I took my vehicle to the manufacturer to get the exact problem. They said it was the hybrid battery again. But Of course it was out of my time frame for a refund on the hybrid battery. I was unable to get my money back after getting 2 non working batteries from them. Cost me well over 4k that I won’t get back dealing with them. DONT waste your time with this company.

I ordered a battery from these guys in April. It arrived 21 days late. I was unable to move the car in the meantime costing me all my vacation time at work and nearly being fired. The battery finally arrived. It got put in the third week of May. The IMA light came in two days ago and I've only put 1,400 miles on it. It lasted 3 months He offered me a 6-month warranty for the problem with what had happened. The battery went in May. It lasted about 71 days. I will update this review when that warranty is honored. I guess you take your chances with stuff like this but still the battery should have ran for at least 6 months. Please do the right thing brother!!! This place is a total scam, not one but 2 bad batteries sent in a row. What was supposed to be shipped in a week took almost a month to get, then it was no good. 3 weeks for its replacement to ship, and it again it was no good. My mechanic spent hours troubleshooting it with him on the phone, switching out BMUs and and troubleshooting wiring per his direction. He said he would pay the labor for this, and then refused. I spent $5,000.00 in labor charges having these batteries installed troubleshot and reinstalled. We even had the Chevy factory EV specialist come out and and check, he said it didn't look like the battery had ever been taken apart to be tested. I was incredibly nervous about purchasing a used battery online. There are so many factors and fears involved with shelling out thousands of dollars for something you can't see or inspect directly. Working with Ed put these fears to rest. He was responsive by phone, text, and email, and he worked directly with my mechanic when we ran into a BMS issue.
