Enterprise Rent-A-Car

I’d recommend any other location in the area other than the Walnut Creek location. They were dismissive, unprofessional, poor communicators and despite reserving a specific vehicle and confirming they had it available, they didn’t. Additionally I had to call multiple times for almost a week to get my final bill and deposit back. Calls went unreturned or they would just hang up after putting me on hold. And while I appreciated being picked up down the street for the reservation the guy who was driving looked completely unprofessional and unkept in old sweat pants/teeshirt with holes & stains. I don’t recommend this shady location.

I rent 1–2 cars a week for business and have returned vehicles to this location several times this year. 3 straight times, they incorrectly charged me for an extra day—even when I return the car hours before my scheduled drop-off. I always provide time-stamped documentation, yet it still takes days of back-and-forth before they finally fix the mistake. Yesterday I returned a car at 2:00 PM (my contract said 8:00 PM), and because they closed at 1:30, they still tried to add an extra day despite having an after-hours drop box. When I called, I waited 35 minutes on hold. I asked nine separate times for the manager’s name, and the representative, Ishmael (spelling), refused to provide it—completely unprofessional. I just had the most pleasant customer experience(s) I can remember in a long time. I walked in, was greeted by a smiling and friendly Charlotte and was taken care of with such efficiency I was amazed. From the time I walked in to the time I drove off it was literally 10 minutes. Her aptitude for making customers happy is unbelievably rare. I never imagined renting a car could be this painless and enjoyable. Thanks Charlotte!

I had a reservation with Hertz, but when I arrived to pick up the car, the location was closed for lunch. I canceled and went to the Enterprise down the street instead. Griffin Synder greeted me right away, and after I explained that I needed a car quickly to pick up my elderly parents from the airport, he immediately took care of it. I was on the road within ten minutes. His professionalism and efficiency made a stressful situation much easier. Thanks to Griffin, Enterprise will be my first choice for future rentals.

I reserved an intermediate-size car in advance, but when I arrived to pick it up, I was told they didn’t have any cars available in that size. Instead of honoring my reservation, they tried to upsell me to a larger and more expensive vehicle. This felt very unfair and misleading, especially since the reservation was confirmed ahead of time. A reservation should mean the car size you booked is available, not a tactic to push customers into paying more. Very disappointing experience.
