Ive never had a more transparent or honest experience with a mechanic. Latch is a full-transparency business owner with a huge emphasis on integrity and honesty. He makes sacrifices for his customers knowing that will bring them back time and time again. He sat with me and built a plan on how to keep this old hunk of junk car running for as long as possible at as low a cost as possible, only recommending what is absolutely needed to keep the car running safely. If you want to get ripped off go somewhere else, if you want someone who does good business go with Latch.
Update: I found my vehicle with no help from the owner. It is locked in a tow yard with the side doors off open to the rain. It is now ruined. The owner of the lot won't let me tow the vehicle as he's holding all the vehicles as collateral because Latch has not paid rent. Latch ruined a $14,000 RAV4 and took the insurance money. Previous: My vehicle has been at this shop since March 21, 2023. I am getting no response from Latchman Singh as to when my vehicle will be ready. Latch has promised over and over that it will be ready "next week". This has gone on for months. Progressive insurance has paid $7851.25 to this shop for repairs that have not been completed. There is now a sign on the door of 6562 University Blvd that indicates Executive Auto has moved and the new owner
Want my honest opinion? This experience has been great! Latch has been nothing but honest with me each time I have brought my vehicle to him. Most mechanics like to freak people out or rip them off, but this man tells it like it is. Not only that, but he has tried to teach me/help me understand the mechanics of the vehicle, something not a lot of people do, and something I really do appreciate. If I have a concern, he has helped me understand why it is/is not doing what I am concerned about. All this on top of a great personality…I will definitely continue coming back. Definitely recommend!
Working with Latch was hands down the worst experience I've ever had. He continuously promised me over and over that my car would be ready by the end of the week, but he had my car for 2 months. He continuously promised that he would call me, and then did not, and then didn't answer when I called him. Almost every time I was supposed to pick my car up, I found out an hour before it was not ready, still. So he'd make another promise that it would be done by the end of the day, or the next day, and then wouldn't reach out to me to update me until I harassed him and he finally answered the phone. When I got it back the brake system was completely ruined, which it was not like that when I dropped it off to him. The steering column was also loose, which almost caused me to get in an accident. T
15 out of 10 review for latch and his team , truly amazing people I was involved in a accident and my insurance wanted to total loss my vehicle upon taking it to their collision center witch would have put me in a horrible position financially , I was looking at shops on google and found his in my area , latch took another look at the vehicle and showed me places where I could cheaper parts at the same quality , he worked with the insurance adjuster to make sure the vehicle was repaired correctly and it came out amazing , the repair process took slightly longer than the insurance quoted but he covered my rental for a additional 4 days witch im grateful for and got me back in my car , definatly will keep coming to him in the future
