Fairwood Retirement Village & Assisted Living

Mind bogglingly difficult/impossible to find addresses here, definitely recommend stopping at the main office and asking directions because it's a literal maze, inside the main building and the condos outside too. Beautiful situation, nicely maintained and clean buildings, large trees and park like green spaces, pool, garden room and dining room in the spacious main building, helpful employees. Food is good, made from scratch bread, obvious effort put into presentation and flavor of food without being really fancy. There's a hotel type room for visitors of residents to stay. Plenty of activities and ways for residents to meet and build community.

Fairwood is the best! We moved our Mom into a beautiful apartment and she loves it. Staff is amazing and attentive and make her feel like family. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and her apartment is very modern. The staff was very accommodating when she moved in, helping with appliance choices and the like. We couldn’t be happier!

I just want to say how much we loved and appreciated Fairwood Assisted Living. From the girls in the front office to the floor staff to maintenance. It's a difficult choice to put your loved one in a facility, but everyone made the transition easier. What a hard job to have yet they all made it look so easy. I will never be able to express how thankful I am for everyone at this facility. If you are looking for a place for your spouse or parent, this place should be top of your list.Thank you and God bless

My mother lived at Fairwood for about 6 years. During that period of time her monthly fees went up by about $200.00 a month. Staff were always taking home extra food to feed their families...no wonder they had to keep raising the fees. Maintenance was always so slow to fix problems of concern. Quite a few times I had to go in and have a chat with management. My mother hated when I did that because they would hold it against her by not being friendly and giving her the cold shoulder. I was actually threatened by the activities director and told not to complain or my mom would be put on a list and they would find a reason to kick her out!!! I currently just moved my Grandmother today. I was greated in a super friendly and supportive way by all staff that I met. From the movers that moved her belongings, (as well as set the room up for her) to the nurse on duty, to the staff taking care of her and the others. Everybody was so kind and helpful!!! They are more then accomidating to the needs of her about her privacy and everything else.
